How are you proposing to address the fun issues like online compaction
etc. ?

Furthermore, what’s the added advantage of dynamic superpages over
exlpicit superpage support, eg. though the use of libhugetlb?

Unless you realize online compaction and add a kind of extend allocation
to the page allocator there will hardly ever be a situation where you
can promote a page.

All of which is rather expensive to do, changing the application might
be easier and deliver better performance gains.

chiedo innanzitutto scusa per il cross-posting.

Sto organizzando insieme all’LsLug il "banchetto masterizzazioni" per
il LinuxDay (http://www.linuxdayroma.org/).

Il "banchetto masterizzazioni" è un servizio di masterizzazione CD/DVD
con software libero (di solito si tratta di distribuzioni Linux). I CD
vengono masterizzati su richiesta.

Se c’è qualcuno che desidera mettere a disposizione il proprio
computer (dotato di masterizzatore) o anche solo la propria testa
(dotata di idee 🙂 per dare una mano, mi contatti in privato.
